I souvenir
“Design process and ethics for business” is an opportunity to reinforce, explore and experience the complete process of product life, from the idea to the prototype and from the prototype completion to the final product, ready for production in limited edition/capsule.
Students will be asked to research, outsource and interact with local industry (including artisan and makers) to design and prototype objects with strong intercultural relevance.
“I Souvenir therefore I am” - Course Brief
Culture, in a state of constant evolution, is interpreted by and, in turn, analyzes design; the process of designing harbors the potential of bringing two cultures together in a combined creative form of expression while keeping their own unique identities.
Students are required to design a group of objects/souvenirs in this combined form.
