CASA P - Piazza Montebello Torino - Apartment renovation

The apartment is in the Vanchiglia district where there is a small square.

It is a calm little square, hidden between Corso Regina Margherita and Corso San Maurizio, far from the traffic that flows just beyond, with an enviable bohemian tranquility.

This is Largo Montebello, a round piazza with circular facades all around.

At number 38, Eugenia Barruero, the teacher who inspired Edmondo De Amicis for the immortal figure of the "red pen" of Cuore, lived in a beautiful building with an ancient flavor that overlooks the trees of the square.

When we started the renovation, in 2004, we decided to re-interpretation the apartment layout and to use the roof top to give more spaciousness to the living area and the get extra room for a small studio and a small bedroom with its own rest room.

The majority of the furniture, such as in the kitchen some accessories were fitted.
