Craft/Material Explorations: Jewelery

This introductory course in metalsmithing and jewelry design offers a comprehensive exploration of fundamental techniques and materials.

Students develop essential skills in using basic tools, cutting metal with saw blades, filing, and joining metal pieces through soldering or riveting.

In addition to traditional metalworking methods, the course expands into the realms of wax carving, wood carving, silicon molding, and resin casting. The synthesis of these techniques empowered students to create unconventional and experimental accessories by combining wood, silicon, resin, and metal.
